Ms. Carissa Dizon

Carissa Dizon was raised in the Catholic faith, where music quickly became a guiding force in both her spiritual and personal development. She joined her parish’s children’s choir at the age of six and began cantoring—leading the congregation in song—by the age of twelve. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she was deeply involved in church choir, show choir, and musical theater.

Her vocal talents have brought her the opportunity to perform for notable individuals such as the late Helen Reddy, former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and the late former President Jimmy Carter. She has earned multiple choir competition awards and was recognized as Best Female Soloist at the Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carissa went on to pursue formal training in musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. While developing her professional career, she continued to serve her home parish by cantoring for masses, special liturgical events, and assisting the choir director in teaching music to elementary school students.

Today, Carissa is passionate about helping young people discover a deeper relationship with Christ through their voice. She believes that musical gifts are meant to be shared to glorify God and inspire others—a philosophy beautifully captured in the words of St. Augustine: “He who sings prays twice.”
